An Unmet Need, A Personal Mission

"What motivated me to establish Islamiya Homecare was the recognition of an unmet need for religious, cultural, and spiritual care among marginalized individuals facing language and cultural barriers."

— Saraad Hashim, Founder

Islamiya Home Care Services was founded out of a simple observation: too many families in Edmonton were being asked to choose between quality clinical care and care that actually understood who they were. Language barriers, unfamiliar dietary needs, and a lack of awareness around religious and cultural practices too often left clients feeling unseen in their most vulnerable moments.

We built Islamiya to close that gap — not by narrowing who we serve, but by widening what "understanding" means. Every client, regardless of background, faith, or language, is met with the same standard of clinical excellence and the same commitment to being genuinely known.

Diverse team of caregivers at Islamiya Home Care

Our team reflects the communities we serve — because trust starts with feeling understood.

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

These four principles guide every visit, every care plan, and every relationship we build.

Quality Service

Evidence-based nursing care delivered by trained, licensed, and compassionate professionals — clinical rigor is never compromised.

Individuality

No two care plans look the same, because no two people are the same. We build around the client, not a template.

Compassion

We treat every client as we would our own family — with warmth, patience, and genuine empathy.

Accountability

Transparent, trustworthy care with clear communication — you always know what to expect and why.

Our Promise

Rooted in Islamic Values. Open to Everyone.

Islamiya was founded to serve clients whose religious and cultural needs had gone unmet elsewhere — and that founding purpose still shapes how we train our staff and build every care plan. But our door is open to every family in Edmonton, of every faith and background. Dignity, patience, and respect aren't reserved for any one community; they're simply how we practice care.
